On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we have great pleasure to welcome you to the 8th Japan-Singapore-Taiwan-Hong Kong Quadrilateral Symposium on Coordination Chemistry (QSCC-8) to be held at The University of Hong Kong on January 7-8, 2027.

The Symposium is one of the most strategic and unique regional symposia in Asia in the area of Coordination Chemistry held once every two years, with approximately 200 participants from Asia including Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland, all of which have strong traditions and fast-growing innovation and strengths in Coordination Chemistry. The Symposium has always been well attended by top leading inorganic and coordination chemists.

The main objective of the Symposium is to provide a forum for inorganic and coordination chemists in Asia including Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland to gather together to present their most recent research findings, and to provide a stimulating atmosphere to discuss and to exchange new ideas on the most cutting-edge research topics in Inorganic and Coordination Chemistry. In the recent years, research on Coordination Chemistry in Asia has developed rapidly with numerous leading Asian coordination chemists in this domain of research, which will be showcased in this Symposium. The 8th QSCC will introduce an international element by inviting prominent international chemists from the rest of the world. The incorporation of the international element and participation into the Asian Symposium is becoming an increasingly popular practice and trend, and will serve to bring in internationally renowned inorganic and coordination chemists from all over the world to participate in the Asian regional symposium and to showcase the fast-growing development of Coordination Chemistry in Asia, especially in Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland.
